💸 Local Deals
Free Books for Summer Reading- Several larger businesses do free books, pizzas or other items for summer reading so keep an eye out for programs! Barnes and Nobles has a log here, that you complete and get a free book in July/August! Pizza Hut has their program on an app for a free pizza for reading! Panda Express offers a free kids meal for reading through their program here!
🌳 Outdoor Spotlight
Memory Park- Ya’ll this park absolutely blew me away! We went this week and it’s so beautiful, shaded gravel trails, ponds, bridges, turtles, history and tons of projects from community members. There were so many flowers in bloom and the rose garden smelled amazing! The trails are about 1/2-1 mile long depending on route.

📍 Give Back To Our Community
Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas- This is local animal shelter is not necessarily a small business but they rely heavily on donations and volunteers to keep their services going. They keep their Facebook page up to date with needs and often invite volunteers to walk and play with dogs. If you can’t adopt consider giving time, money or even fostering for a few weeks!
📍 Small Business Spotlight
This local business small business is a pick your own berry farm that is opening May 23rd! Head out and pick tons of blueberries for just $4.00 a pound! Don’t forget your water and sunscreen!
