Big Rivers Waterpark is having an Educators Appreciation Day on August 17th! All school staff members get in free by showing their ID’s! Hopefully ya’ll aren’t too wiped out from the start of school to check them out, its a great spot to beat the heat and only about 30 minutes from Conroe in New Cany
🌳 Outdoor Spotlight
This is a beautiful park that is super shaded and has lots of fun little nooks and cranies to explore. The playground areas are spaced out through shaded trails and there is a skate park as well. The trail system seemed fairly short with just a quick loop but it was so shaded that we didn’t mind looping it a few times! We hit up the Woodlands Mall after because it was just 3 minutes away!

📍 Give Back To Our Community
Fish Fry Fundraiser – on August 16 at Backwoods Saloon in Conroe (1-6pm), hosted by the Class of 1985 to benefit the CHS (Conroe High School) Scholarship Fund, with a $15,000 goal, delicious fish plates, a 50/50 raffle, and a liquor wagon drawing. Come support a local community event that benefits our community kids!
📍 Small Business Spotlight
I got to meet this local small business at a farmers market recently and they make some super cool stuff! I grabbed dragons for my daughters and they are very cool and sturdy. They make tons of different items and have a website that makes finding what you want easy!
