🌳 Outdoor Spotlight
Mercer Botanic Garden- This one isn’t super local but it’s a 30 minute drive and so worth it. The garden’s are absolutely massive, with tons of shade and beautiful trails throughout. They are kid friendly with a little play area, scavenger hunt and tons of space to run! So many photo ops as well and entry is free! They have a visitors center with bathrooms and super nice employees! We got lucky and went on a cloudy day which I would recommend because shade can be hit or miss as you wander around.

I plan on releasing some info on if Calfee Middle School teachers need help getting their rooms ready this week. Keep an eye on facebook as this whole water situation has put them way behind in getting ready for the school year!
📍 Small Business Spotlight
This local small business has been here for almost 30 years! The owner was super friendly and the food was so good. The onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had! They serve burgers and sandwiches fresh daily. They also do casseroles, hams and turkeys year-round. The reviews don’t lie on this one so be sure to check them out!
