The Greater Conroe Guide 9/18-9/24
Discover what's happening in your community this week!

🌟A little note
I can only assume that we are all ready for that cool fall weather to hit us in the face soon! Willis Family Fun Day was a blast this last weekend and gave off big goodbye summer vibes energy! Seriously so impressed with all they had to offer the community.
I am trying to enjoy the last little bits of summer recently with snow cones, green lush trails and super sunny days before they are gone in flash! I already feel the days getting darker earlier and those little peeks of cooler weather coming.

🌳 Outdoor Spotlight
This state park is less than 30 minutes away from downtown Conroe! We visited this park recently and absolutely loved it! The bathrooms are all super nice and maintained. They have a little educational center and trail that my kids loved. We did experience a few closed trails due to storm debris or inability to upkeep but still managed to hike 4-5 different trails throughout the park. Entry is $7 per person, free for kids 12 and under or you could grab a state park pass and get free daytime entry to all the parks in Texas!
📍 Give Back To Our Community
Montgomery County Women’s Shelter– This local resource provides free shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. They offer emergency housing, support groups, crisis intervention, and outreach programs at no cost, with income-based rent only in transitional housing. They are an invaluable resource for our community, please consider utilizing their services, donating or sharing them with someone who may need support.
📍 Small Business Spotlight
Ya’ll this place was a super cool find! I am not sure if I hit it on a really good day but the strawberries were the freshest I’ve seen in a long time! This is a little farmers market kind of vibe. They sell fruit, baked goods and other random locally made products. There is a tree growing up through the middle of the store that gives it a really fun vibe. I grabbed strawberries, peaches, beeswax wrap and a candle on this trip with no regrets!
Did You Know? Did you know most small businesses make 40% of their annual sales during Q4? If you’re not using email to reach customers, you could be missing out. I help local businesses set this up, reply if you’d like details.
Have an event or deal to share please let me know? I can’t promise to feature every one, because I’m doing my best to keep the newsletter focused and easy to read but I promise to hear you and try to make it work.
